Toddlers up to 2 years will explore introductory-level sports in a parent/tot play-based atmosphere. This program will focus on gross and fine motor skill movements through games and free play while socializing toddlers with their peers. Toddlers should be able to walk on their own as we will be introducing hand-eye coordination. Caregivers and children should dress in comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes ready to move! Preschoolers ages 3-5 will have the opportunity to be introduced to the fundamentals of basketball and team-building exercises during the Shooting Stars Pre-School Basketball Clinic in a fun and nurturing environment.Parents/Guardians are encouraged to stay on-site and may be asked to participate with their toddlers during the program.This program will be held in the Southbury Parks and Recreation- multipurpose room:561 Main St South Southbury CT 06488In order to serve you better, Southbury Parks and Recreation's programs are subject to change. 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM    Southbury Elementary Schools Half Day Adventures: Grades K-5 - Half Day for GES
Join us at Parks and Recreation on select half days for Southbury Elementary schools! Programs will have a day camp atmosphere and will feature different activities and games. Monday May 13thStudents from Pomperaug Elementary, Gainfield Elementary, and Long Meadow Elementary are welcome to join us for an afternoon of spring-themed crafts and activities! Transportation will be provided from PES and GES ONLY to the Parks and Recreation building. Upon registration, parents will sign digitally giving permission for Parks and Rec staff to pick up at dismissal and walk or bus participants to our building. NEW: Students from Long Meadow Elementary School are welcome to join! IMPORTANT: students MUST be dropped off to the Parks and Recreation Building by a caregiver, Parks and Rec Staff will NOT be providing transportation from LMES for this program. 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM    Parks & Rec Clubhouse (Ages 3 & up) - Tie Dye Lab!
The Parks & Rec Clubhouse provides a space to meet and make new friends through specialized activities for various ages. Participate in different & unique activities while our staff helps guide you through your adventures. And the best part is that we clean up the mess!These programs will be held at 561 Main Street South in Southbury, CT in the Parks & Recreation Building- Multipurpose Room.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________SLIME LAB (Ages 5 & up)All participants will be able to make 2 different types of slime to take home. Participants can add scents, colors, charms and/or little pieces of decor.  Tie Dye Lab (Ages 3 & up) All participants will be able to make a tie-dye shirt to take home. We provide the shirt and all materials. Children ages 3-6 must have a parent/guardian on-site with them to help with the shirt folds and assist with dying. Our instructors will demonstrate different ways to fold a shirt and provide assistance when applicable. Participants will get to take home their tie dye shirt in a bag, with instructions on washing.  Please come dressed down (in clothes to get messy). If you get tie-dye on your clothes or shoes, it will stain! In order to serve you better, Southbury Parks and Recreation's programs are subject to change.
