PAC SWIM TEAM INFORMATION THE 2023-2024 SHORT COURSE SWIM SEASON

Panther Aquatic Club (PAC) is a USA Swimming Team, sanctioned by Connecticut Swimming and run in cooperation with Southbury Parks & Recreation.

PAC is a competitive swim club providing instruction and training for swimmers with a degree of stroke proficiency between the ages of 6 and 18. Our purpose is to provide a positive training atmosphere that will prepare our athletes both physically and mentally to compete to the best of their potential. It is our goal to send our swimmers to the highest possible levels of competition during the USA/Connecticut swim seasons. Swimmers are expected to make a full commitment to bettering themselves as athletes by actively participating in practice, dry land workouts, and goal setting exercises. Through this experience, we wish to enhance the development of the athlete’s character, including sportsmanship, commitment, responsibility and integrity, while challenging each swimmer ro reach their highest potential.

Training will take place at Pomperaug High School beginning September 25th. Swimmers will have the opportunity to compete in meets during the season in which they may become eligible for end of season championships.

Returning PAC swimmers should have already pre-registered on the PAC website and should have received confirmation of their swimmers practice squad for the upcoming season. Swimmers MUST sign up for their assigned squad. Registration changes due to improper squad registration will incur a $25 transfer fee.

Swimmers new to PAC and registering for the first time should have attended a new swimmer evaluation with the coaching staff in order to gauge team readiness and squad placement. Please email questions to  pac_swimming@yahoo.com.

Please be sure to check the PAC website (www.pacswimming.com) for updated practice times and team information. We follow the Region 15 calendar; if school is closed due to weather, practice is cancelled. Practice days and times will change occasionally to accommodate high school conflicts.
