Art in the Park

Southbury Parks and Recreation (SPR) in partnership with the Southbury Arts & Culture Alliance (SACA) and Middlebury and Southbury Equity and Inclusion Council (MSEIC) is having its third annual collaborated special event: Art in the Park!

You do not need to register to attend the event!

Overview of this Free Event
Join us for free arts & crafts projects and recreational activities. Learn a new technique while you create your own art or try your hand at a free craft project.
Participate in a free raffle drawing for fun prizes.  
 
Location/Details
This event is free to attend and will be held on Saturday, May 17th 11am-1pm. Art in the Park will be held at Ballantine Park located at 611 Old Field Road. 
 
Activity & Craft Details
 
Southbury Arts & Culture Alliance (SACA) will offer fun art projects and activities suitable for all ages featuring painting on easels with canvasses, and tabletop painting!
 
Southbury Parks and Recreation (SPR) will offer a craft station where you can design and pot your own plant!

The Middlebury and Southbury Equity and Inclusion Council (MSEIC) will offer a DIY pinwheel station!

Southbury - Middlebury Acting Responsibly Together (SMART) will offer a rock painting station!

The Rochambeau Rebels will offer a design-your-own flag craft!

The Southbury Public Library will offer spring crafts and Tunes and Tales at 11:00am and 12:15pm. 

Pomperaug Warriors Youth Cheer & Football will have a tent and booth with wind chimes and sun catcher crafts!

*Activity stations are subject to change. 

Raffle Prize Details
Raffle prizes: 

-Free attendance for one of our upcoming program classes in the Parks & Recreation Clubhouse or paint class.
-More to be announced soon!

All raffle drawings will take place approximately around 12pm. Winners must be present to receive their prize!
