Community Garden -
The Southbury Community Garden provides a healthy community to cultivate the joys of gardening, meet fellow gardeners, and contribute to our local food pantry. The Southbury Community Garden is a member garden for Southbury residents operated through the Southbury Department of Parks and Recreation. The members are required to abide by the Garden Regulations.

Garden is located at Settlers Park
280 Crook Horn Rd

Returning Gardeners have until April 26th to complete registration. NEW THIS YEAR: all returning gardeners are allowed to reserve a second plot! Simply join the wait list for "Second Plot Request" after registering for your Returning Gardener Plot. IMPORTANT: these additional plots are limited and are first-come-first-serve, they will be assigned at the end of the month after all returning gardeners have been given the chance to secure their plots. 

New Gardener registrations will be accepted beginning April 29th. IMPORTANT: all new gardeners must first join the wait list! Registration and payment will need to be processed after you are assigned a plot number. 

Official Garden Opening Day

Saturday, April 27, 9:00am (Rain Date May 4) 
Meet and greet and workday. Come meet your fellow gardeners, prepare your plot, mulch your walkways, ask questions, and get set for a bountiful growing season.  It is recommended that you plant your plot with tender annuals (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, etc) after May 15.

Garden Workdays
Community workdays where our Head Gardener, Georgia, is available for questions and advice.
