Winter Open Swim: All Ages

Family and Adult/Lap Swimming will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at the Pomperaug High School Pool, 234 Judd Road Southbury, during the Winter months, beginning January 6, 2024 and continuing until March 17, 2024. (Region 15 is anticipating the start of needed pool repairs the week of March 18, 2024).

Pool availability will follow the REGION 15 Calendar and weather cancellations.  An open swim date may be canceled if the pool is needed for a school activity. Updates will be on our main page in a red banner at the top.

To purchase a pool pass, your household address must be part of Region 15. You must have a pool pass to enter the facility. Children, 16 or younger, must be accompanied by an Adult Pass Holder or Senior Pass Holder.

All household member passes must be added to cart separately. Pool passes for children cannot be processed without an adult pass from their household.  

Pool passes are now discounted for the remainder of the season!

Pool passes purchased on line will be sent directly to the BILLING ADDRESS associated with the purchasing member profile.

An Adult is anyone 17 and older; a Senior is anyone 55 and older. Child passes can be added to any above pass (Additional Child Discount of $15 will apply at time of check out for 2 or more children.) Minors must be accompanied by a Pass Holder. The second adult or senior pass purchased together will have a 50% discount. *FOR DISCOUNT TO APPLY: ALL HOUSE-HOLD MEMBERS MUST BE ADDED TO CART TOGETHER. DISCOUNT APPLIES ON PAYMENT SCREEN

Day passes are available in our online store, show receipt to gain entry at pool.

Saturdays & Sundays:
1:30 pm – 3:30 pm      Family Swim 3 lanes / Lap Swim 3 lanes
  **Lap Swimmers must share lanes, swimming in a circular direction to the right of the black line at all times.


There is NO Open Swim Saturday or Sunday February 17 or 18, 2024.

Definition of Household:
-Individuals who comprise a family unit and who reside in the same dwelling, sometimes including domestic help.
-A household is defined by the U.S. Census Bureau as all the people who occupy a single housing unit, regardless of their relationship to one another.

Only the Coast Guard Brand “Puddle Jumper" is allowed in the pool as a flotation device. No other personal flotation devices are allowed at open swim. If you need other special accommodations, please contact the Southbury Parks and Recreation Department.
