Mr. Jim Santorelli has coached 13 National Champions and has 35 years of experience teaching children and adults. He is bringing his successful teaching skills to Southbury Parks & Recreation and teaches 2 different programs. 

Checkmate! (Ages 6-14)
From Beginner to Intermediate Level: Beginners will learn how to play the game of chess along with basic strategies. Advanced beginners to intermediate will be taught all phases of tournament play. 

Game of Kings (Ages 15 & up)
Beginners will learn how to play the game of chess along with basic strategies. Advanced beginners to intermediate will be taught all phases of tournament play
