Mr. Jim Santorelli has coached 13 National Champions and has 35 years of experience teaching children and adults. He is bringing his successful teaching skills to Southbury Parks & Recreation and teaches 2 different programs. 

FREE Scholastic Chess
Have you ever wanted to try our Chess program but aren’t sure if it’s a good fit for you? Come try our FREE Chess showcase on Thursday January 9th! Jim will be teaching the game, and this is also a great opportunity for experienced players to come test their skills with others. 

Checkmate! (Ages 7-18)
From beginner to advanced players. Beginners will be taught all the rules of chess as well as basic strategies. Advanced players will be taught all facets of tournament play
