SOUTHBURY TOWN POOL at BALLANTINE PARK


The Southbury Town Pool at Ballantine Park will open this summer as your favorite destination to cool off and unwind. The facility is the perfect spot for warm weather relaxation and enjoyment. Food and drink are allowed in the grassy areas, but please do not bring glass into the facility.

In addition to our main pool, the Ballantine kiddie pool will be open for our youngest swimmers. we do suggest that young ones in the kiddie pool wear water shoes. Despite our best efforts the bottom remains rough. Children who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper.

The bath house provides women’s and men’s changing areas and restrooms.

SEASONAL POOL MEMBERSHIPS are available on-line or at the Southbury Parks & Recreation Office. These include:
   * Adult memberships for ages 16-54
   * Senior memberships for adults ages 55+
   * Child memberships for ages 1-15.
     (Child memberships are only available when purchased with an Adult or Senior pass.)

Families are able to select the family membership which best fits their needs. The smallest family begins with one Adult and one Child. Once you have selected your family membership, you will need to select all household members who will be part of your membership. Please ensure all members of your household are entered into the MyRec system in order to be added to your family pool membership. 
 
This year, every pool member will receive a Southbury Town Pool membership card which must be scanned upon entry to the facility. 

Each individual member, and each member listed in a family pool membership, will receive a unique pool membership card. Head of household may log into their household account to match each membership card with the member.
 
All memberships purchased online before May 31st will be available for pickup at the Southbury Parks & Recreation office between June 3 and June 6. If not picked up by June 6, membership cards will be mailed.  All memberships purchased on or after June 1 will be processed within 24 hours of purchase and will then be mailed to the household member address listed at the time of registration. Memberships purchased on the weekend will be processed on the following Monday.

Please hold onto membership cards at the end of the season. The card will be reloaded with any future memberships you purchase through Southbury Parks & Recreation.

All memberships will be discounted beginning Monday August 5.


SINGLE DAY PASSES will be sold at the Southbury Parks & Recreation Office or at the Town Pool to Southbury Residents ONLY. Proof of residency is required at the time of purchase.  ONLY Checks or Credit Cards will be accepted.
         Adult resident Day pass:  $12
         Child Resident Day pass:  $8


Non-resident day passes must be purchased by a resident for their guest at the pool. Proof of residency and resident attendance during each pool visit is required.
         Adult Non-Resident Guest Pass: $16
         Child Non-Resident Guest Pass: $12


A limited number of chairs are available for patrons at the pool. Please feel free to bring your own chair.


Pool members will enjoy exclusive use of the pool during open swim. 
A single lap lane will be available for those interested in swimming laps during the day. Additional dedicated lap lanes will be available Monday – Thursday from 7:00pm to 7:45pm through August 2.

Weekday pool hours through August 2 are 1pm - 745pm (lap swimming 7-7:45pm).

Tuesday -Thursday August 20-22       12 pm - 4 pm
Friday August 23                                 10 am – 6 pm
Saturday & Sunday August 24 & 25   1230 pm - 6 pm
Monday August 26                               10 am - 6 pm

The Town Pool will be closed Tuesday – Friday, August 27-30,
and will reopen for Labor Day Weekend, 1230 pm - 6 pm.
