6:30 PM - 8:30 PM    Parks & Rec Clubhouse Activities - Dungeons & Dragons
The Parks & Rec Clubhouse provides a space to meet and make new friends through specialized activities for various ages. Participate in different & unique activities while our staff helps guide you through your adventures. And the best part is that we clean up the mess!Our activities range from seasonal activities, science/learning activities, sensory learning and other messy crafts & activities!The following summer 2025 program offerings require parent/guardian supervision!Dungeons and Dragons Multi-Generational Adventures: Join Parks and Recreation Clubhouse for our Dungeons and Dragons Adventures!We will provide the space - you provide the adventure! Southbury Parks and Recreation will provide game supplies, tables, and chairs. Groups are responsible for running their own games. If you are hoping to play with more participants, please invite your friends to sign up and join us! Minors must be accompanied by an adult, staff will check you in but will not run programming. Think of this program as a play date where no one has to clean their house before the fun (or clean up after it!).Once you register, we will reach out with a link to a Discord Server that will put you in direct communication with the other adventurers. The group will decide weekly who is able to meet and what the plan is be it character development, a "one-shot" game, or other D&D related activity! (days and times are subject to change based on group's needs) Reach out to Sara in the main office with any questions: spanaccio@southbury-ct.govPlay in the Park7/18 - 3D Foil Art (create foil art with stickers for a beautiful wall decor)7/23 - Safari Lab (decorate a safari hat and go on a safari hunt, participants get to take home a peacock feather)7/25 - Decorate "Mouse Ears" (decorate "Mouse Ears" from the popular theme park)7/30 - Volcano Lab (make a volcano and watch it erupt!)8/6- Mini Sand Art & Necklace Lab (make a mini sand art bottle, with seashells and a message in a bottle to put inside. Then select your crystal gems to create a necklace to take home)!8/7- Suncatcher Lab (paint 3 suncatcher outlines, and hang it in your window at home)!8/8 - Dunk Tank Splash! (Registrants 13 and older can sit in the dunk tank!)*All Play in the Park programs require adult supervision. Program details here (schedule link is subject to change).
