Pomperaug Basketball Community's (PBC) Summer Swishers Youth Basketball League (SYBL) is back for Summer 2023! 

Program for boys and girls entering grades 3-9 in the fall of 2023. Join your friends, and make new ones, on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings at Community House and/or Ballantine Parks for FUNdamentals of the game of Basketball! Players will enjoy a recreational program focused on individual skills and teamwork. There will be practices and games, as well as opportunities to play with friends in supervised “Drop-In” sessions, each week!

Your patience is appreciated as program volunteers and registrations take shape. Check the Facebook page for regular updates. The summer program will commence during the week of June 19th.  Players will be evaluated and placed on a team with the first games tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 24th. Teams will practice once a week for 60 minutes, on a selected weekday, between 5pm and 7pm.  There will be no games on the Independence Day weekend and the season is expected to conclude during the week of July 24th and not after Saturday, July 29th.

Practices will be held an average of 1 time per week, for 1 hour in length. Games will be on Saturdays for an average time of 1 hour. Below is a glance at the practice day of the week and time range, and does not mean a team will practice every day. Team days and times will be communicated from PBC and/or coaches closer to the start date of the league.

Practices will be held during Monday-Friday between the hours of 5-8 pm. Games will be on Saturdays between 8 am-1 pm. 

SYBL will start June 19 and end July 29. (No games/practices 7/1-7/4)
No games will be held on Saturday, July 1. 
No practices will be held Sunday, July 2 - Tuesday, July 4.

The Little Swishers Program is run by the Pomperaug Basketball Community (PBC). PBC is a non-profit, 501c-3 volunteer organization dedicated to providing inclusive and impactful youth basketball programs to the communities of Southbury and Middlebury.
